Province announces $225 million over three years for Film and Television Tax Credit program
The province says demand is growing in Alberta’s film and TV industry and is continuing to attract major production to shoot in our province.
Sixty-two productions have been shot in Alberta since the introduction of the Film and Television Tax Credit in January 2020, including 20 feature films, 41 television series and one digital media production.
Some notable productions made in Alberta recently are; Ghostbusters, Fraggle Rock, Fargo and HBO’s The Last of Us.
Grande Prairie’s QEII Hospital has reportedly been used as a set in The Last of Us series being filmed across Alberta.
