County residents to receive property tax notices in mail

Around 20,000 residents in the County of Grande Prairie will be getting their property tax notices in the mail in the near future.

Details on how the County funds it’s budget and County services and programs funded by municipal property taxes will show up in mailboxes as well.

Payments are due by Thursday, June 30, 2022 and payments made after the date with be penalized.

Property taxes can be paid:

  • Online at the County website using your Visa or MasterCard credit card (subject to a 2.2% convenience fee);
  • Through banking institutions using online banking or by visiting in person;
  • By cheque mailed to the County Administration Building, 10001-84 Avenue, Clairmont, AB T8X 5B2
  • In-person, starting Tuesday, May 24, at the County Administration Building.

The County office will extend it’s hours to 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 28-30 to accomodate payments for property taxes, including staying open over lunch from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

New property owners that have not received their notice, will have to contact the Cash Control Department as soon as possible and authorizations can be made by:

  • Faxing: 780-539-9880
  • By mail to the County Administration Building, 10001-84 Ave, Clairmont, AB T8X 5B2
