MD of Greenview four year strategic plan to be more sustainable

The MD of Greenview has released its strategic plan of council’s priorities over the next four years.

Reeve Tyler Olsen says their plan focuses on sustainability for the environment, natural resources, and finances along with a big project to keep Greenview viable for a long time…

“Right now, it just sets us up for our big project which is the Greenview Industrial Gateway it’s going to be the gold standard of gas processing moving forward,” Olsen says.

Olsen adds the decision to build the Greenview Industrial Gateway came from wanting the MD to be self-sufficient in all aspects, from being more eco-friendly to having more finances to be put back into the community, Olsen says there is something in Greenview that can get them there…

“Natural resources, we all know that is a big part of this region and we need to be set up so it’s longevity, and the cleaner we can get with our natural resources, it will help everything.”

Olsen says the plan holds councils accountable to their community and is a guide for future councils to follow throughout the remaining years.

“All of the council wants to make sure we’re sustainable in many ways, finically and environmentally with all of our natural resources.”

Olsen also says all the projects going through the Greenview Industrial Gateway will net zero.
