Province making it easier for outdoor patios to be dog friendly
MEDICINE HAT, AB – The next time you go out to dinner at a patio or coffee shop there is a chance your favourite four-legged-pal may be able to come along.
The provincial government is making it easier for dogs to be allowed at more restaurants, bars, and coffee shops in Alberta.
Effectively immediately, Alberta eateries no longer need approval from a public health inspector to allow dogs on patios.
A change to the Food Regulation removes red tape for establishments that want to make outdoor dining easier for their dog-loving customers.
