Rainfall warning for Peace River, Fairview, Manning, High Prairie area

A rainfall warning for the Peace River, Fairview, Manning and High Prairie area has been issued by Environment Canada.

These regions are expected to receive 2 to 40 millimetres of rainfall by Sunday morning, with local amounts up to 70 millimetres between Manning and Paddle Prairie..

There is also a rainfall warning out for the BC Peace.

Environment Canada says there could be 30 to 50 millimetres by Saturday night with 60 to 80 millimetres possible near Chetwynd and Hudson’s Hope.

Similar rainfall warnings have been put out for the High Level, Rainbow Lake, Fort Vermilion, and Mackenzie Hwy area as well.

Environment Canada advises people who live in the areas to turn on lights while driving if visibility is reduced and to monitor alerts and forecasts released by Environment Canada
