BC Peace cowboy wins Stompede bull riding a third straight time

Unofficial results from the Stompede rodeo show a BC Peace cowboy has won the bull riding for a third straight time.

Jacob Gardner won the crown with an 89.5 during Thursday’s main performance. He also won in 2018 and 2019.

Gardner also won the PBR Buck Wild event held in Grande Prairie last fall.

Alberta competitors grabbed all the other event buckles at Stompede:

  • Carbon’s Cole Goodine won the barebacks,
  • Duffield’s Dawson Dahm the saddle broncs,
  • Wimborne’s Jason Smith the tie-down roping,
  • Matt Richardson from Olds took the steer wrestling,
  • Rimbey’s Sam Smith had the fastest time in the barrel racing,
  • Shaya Biever from Claresholm won the breakaway roping,
  • Colton Powell from Innisfail the novice saddle broncs,
  • Thordhild’s Ethan Mazurenko the novice barebacks,
  • Ponoka’s Jestin Jacklin won the steer riding.
  • Ponoka’s Brett Buss and Botha’s Denim Ross won the team roping.
