People asked to avoid Lakeland Off-Leash Dog Park

City Hall is advising people in Grande Prairie to avoid using the Lakeland Off-Leash Dog Park.
The city says on its website the advisory comes after what it calls “a hydrocarbon-based product” was released into the wetlands near the park.
The advisory says animals and people could get sick if they come into contact with the water.
Caution tape and signage have been put up.
