No physician at Spirit River Hospital for 24-hours

The Central Peace Health Complex emergency department in Spirit River will not have a physician until Tuesday, June 14 at 8 a.m.

Patients requiring urgent care are still asked to call 9-1-1, calls will be rerouted to surrounding area hospitals in Fairview, Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, or Valleyview.

Pending on their needs residents seeking assistance at the Central Peace Health Complex emergency department should be aware of services offered through local pharmacies.

Nursing staff will remain on-site at the emergency department to perform assessments and triage.
