Guhle, Oil Kings off to Memorial Cup

The Edmonton Oil Kings are WHL champions.

Former Grande Prairie Minor Hockey product Kaiden Guhle had a goal as the Oil Kings blanked Seattle 2-0 on Monday night to win the Ed Chynoweth Cup in 6 games.

Guhle, a first-round draft pick of the Montreal Canadiens in 2020, was also named WHL playoffs MVP after recording 8 goals and 16 points in 19 games.

The Oil Kings now advance to the Memorial Cup which begins Monday, June 20th in Saint John, New Brunswick.
