EDMONTON, AB – A new online directory from the Government of Alberta is offering a place for women in the province to search for all of the supports available to them by the provincial government.

The online Women’s Hub directory allows women to search for various supports and filter results based on their personal information and the types of services they are looking for.

Associate Minister of Status of Women, Whitney Issik said, “I have heard from many women in Alberta that it can be challenging to find the time to navigate government programs and resources to help them grow their careers, find health care, thrive in the wake of domestic and sexual violence, or get involved in their communities.”

“I also heard from women across our province that they need a resource to help them find care for their elderly parents, educational choices for their kids and safe spaces to go if needed.”

Issik added, “the Women’s Hub provides a way to easily and quickly find much-needed information for women who are already stretched for time.”

As new programs and resources become available, they will be added to the online directory to ensure the information is always up to date.

The province noted that the Women’s Hub links more than 180 recourses and supports available to women in Alberta. The directory can be accessed through the Government of Alberta website.
