Jun 22, 2022 | 11:43 AM

The public consultation process into the city’s snow removal services is now underway.

During their June 13th meeting, city council approved having administration proceed with public consultations.

An online survey through the city’s website is now active until July 17th, which includes 17 questions that residents can answer and provide feedback on current services, identify areas of possible improvement, and share ideas on how to improve snow communications with the public.

The survey can be found at:

An online engagement page has also been set up, where residents can learn about current services available, and provide feedback on potential changes

A pair of public town halls will be held on July 14th at Teresa Sargent Hall in the Montrose Cultural Centre – one from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm and the other from 4-7 pm.

Formal presentations will be made during both sessions, and residents attending will also have the chance to sit down and chat with city staff.

Lastly, virtual focus groups will be held on July 12th and 13th to collect in-depth thoughts and perspectives on snow removal.

Anyone interested in participating in the focus groups can email engagement@cityofgp.com.

Participants selected to take part in the focus groups will receive a $50 honorarium from the city.
