Forbes Homestead open for summer

City Hall says the Forbes Homestead and Pioneer Hospital is open for the season.

The building on 96 Street was Grande Prairie’s first home and first hospital and has been designated a Provincial Historic Resource Site.

It will be open to the public every Wednesday through Saturday until September 3 from 1 to 4 pm.

Admission and guided tours are available at no charge, but donations are accepted.

The Forbes Homestead will also be hosting afternoon teas on July 13, 14, 20, and 21 and August 10, 11, 17, and 18.
