Vision West Business Park Area Construction

The City of Grande Prairie will begin road construction in the Vision West Business Park Area starting Sunday, June 26.

Road work will consist of a full-depth reclamation, which includes breaking apart existing roadway, recycling pieces, and using them as the lower-level base structures before fresh pavement, concrete work, storm sewer repairs, and some landscape work is done.

Construction will take place on:

  • 97th Avenue between 120th Street and 124th Street
  • 120th Street between 97th Avenue and 100th Avenue

It is expected pedestrians will still have sidewalk access while road work is underway.

Traffic will be restricted to a single lane and speeds will be reduced to 30km/h and all detours will be marked.

Crews are expected to work Monday to Saturday, with the work anticipated to be complete by mid-July.
