June 21 Alberta Crop Report
The Alberta Crop Report from June 21st says almost three-quarters of Peace region crops are above normal condition, despite drowned out acres from heavy rain.
The rain across the entire province ended the prolonged drought from 2021, and while the wet weather was welcome in most places, many places reported overland flooding.
In the Peace region, precipitation over the week of June 14-20 ranged from 15 to 50 millimeters.
Some of the drowned-out acres and areas that had seeds washed away as a result of heavy rains, and are not likely to be re-seeded this growing season.
