Peace cowboys competing at the Calgary Stampede

Jul 5, 2022 | 6:30 AM

It is almost time for the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.

The Calgary Stampede starts Friday and runs through July 17.

Fort St. John’s Stephen Culling is the lone competitor from the Peace in the Stampede rodeo.

He will compete in Pool A which will start on Friday.

Cody Ridsdale, Kirk Sutherland, Mark Sutherland, Mitch Sutherland and Chanse Vigen are among the 27 wagon drivers that will be part of the Rangeland Derby.

There are still nine heats per night, so this will mean there will be three drivers per heat, not four as in previous years.

There have not been any wagon races at the Stampede since 2019.
