Old Forestry Building in Peace River set ablaze in suspected arson

On July 6, 2022, at around 3:40 a.m., Peace Regional RCMP responded to a structure fire in the south end of Peace River on 103 Street.
The structure on fire was the old, unoccupied Forestry Building. Emergency services attended the scene and quickly got the fire under control. No injuries were reported due to the blaze.
Mounties are investigating the cause of the fire, which is believed to be arson, and are requesting the public’s assistance.
Police are asking the public to look over home surveillance recordings and report any suspicious activity to them.
