New Bike Park

City invites residents to Grand Opening of Crystal Lake Bike Park

Freestyle biking experts will be at the Crystal Lake Bike Park this Thursday for the Grand Opening of a new skills park.

The park features a large variety of obstacles for all different skill levels with dirt jumps, pump tracks, and balance courses made up of rocks and wooden bridges.

From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Grande Prairie City Councillors will be at the park for a ribbon-cutting ceremony as well as food trucks and freestyle biking experts teaching attendants how to use the obstacles.

The event is free to attend but residents need their own bike and helmet to participate.

Located at Lakeland Drive and 121 Avenue near Crystal Lake Park, the new bike park was partially funded by the federal government through the Canada Infrastructure Program.
