Clairmont Centre for Recycling and Waste Management closed after early morning fire

The Clairmont Centre for Recycling and Waste Management is currently closed after a fire broke out at the facility Tuesday morning.

County fire crews from Clairmont, Sexsmith, and the Dunes were called to the blaze around 1 am.

Traffic on Range road 63 North of Township road 724 was impacted as water had to be transported by truck along that stretch in order to fight the blaze.

Heavy smoke was visible in the area, however the County said there was minimal risk to the public.
