Grande Prairie Outdoor Pool being renamed

Aquatera Utilities Inc. is the new naming rights partner for the Grande Prairie Outdoor Pool.

The City of Grande Prairie is pleased to announce the new name for the facility will be Aquatera Outdoor Pool with the new partnership.

The partnership is a five-year naming rights agreement, which the City says contributes to enhanced programs, facilities, projects, and services to enrich the lives of residents.

The City notes the agreement will create a positive impact and benefit both the facility and the community.

The City and Aquatera are inviting the community to join them at the outdoor pool’s 60th Anniversary event this Saturday, July 16 from 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The outdoor pool was first opened in 1962 and is located in Muskoseepi Park.

The 60-year anniversary celebration of the Grande Prairie Outdoor Pool will have free public swimming by donation, outdoor games, hourly giveaways, and a large 1960’s-themed prize pack.
