Townes headlines the nomination list for 2022 CCMA Awards

Grande Prairie’s Tenille Townes has been nominated for seven CCMA awards, including female artist of the year and entertainer of the year.

She has already won the female artist of the year award each of the last three years.

She was also nominated for single and video of the year for “Girl Who Didn’t Care” while her album “Masquerades” is up for album of the year.

The nominations were announced Wednesday morning.

Townes already has nine CCMA awards to her credit, having won two awards last year, three in 2020, and four in 2019.

Spirit River’s Aaron Goodvin is up for Single of the Year for “Boy Like Me” and Interactive Artist of the Year.

La Crete’s High Valley has been nominated for Group or Duo of the Year and the Fan’s Choice Award.

This year’s CCMA awards will be handed out on September 11th in Calgary.
