Piranhas win gold, bronze on Day 1 at national championships

Grande Prairie Piranhas swimmers won gold and bronze medals Monday night at the Swimming Canada Junior and Senior Championships in Montreal.

The Piranhas Facebook page says Oliver Dawson won gold in the 100-metre backstroke in the 14/15 age group.

Dominik Kwiecien won bronze in the 14/15 400 metre freestyle.

Both recorded their personal best times while winning their medals.

Five Piranhas competed in seven finals on Day 1 with Grande Prairie swimmers recording a total of six personal best times. All those results can be found here.
