Fire damages home in Countryside neighbourhood

Fire investigators with the city are expected to wrap up their investigation o Wednesday into the cause and origin of a Tuesday afternoon fire in the Countryside neighbourhood.

City fire crews were called to the blaze at around 4 pm on Tuesday.

Smoke and flames could be seen coming out the back of the home by the time firefighters arrived on the scene.

The fire did eventually spread to the attic before crews were able to extinguish it.

No injuries were reported but the damage has resulted in three people being displaced.
