Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital ED without a physician for 48 hours

The Emergency Department at the Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital is without physician coverage until 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 10.

Alberta Health Services is working to ensure residents have access to the care they need and will have a physician back in the ED resuming on Wednesday, August 10.

In the meantime, nursing staff is on site to provide triage and assessments and to refer patients to other healthcare facilities in surrounding communities.

EMS calls are being rerouted to the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital (42 km) or the Central Peace Health Complex in Spirit River (100 km).

Residents can call Health Link at 8-1-1 anytime for non-emergency health-related questions.

AHS says this s a temporary measure and are thankful for the surrounding health centres and thanks the community for their patience and understanding.
