The City of Grande Prairie will soon begin construction on a new trail

Starting Wednesday, August 10, the City of Grande Prairie will begin the construction of a new trail.

The three-metre wide asphalt trail will run from the northside of 100 Avenue from 110 Street to 108 Street and along the west side of 108 Street, from 100 Avenue to 107 Avenue.

This is part of the City’s Trail Program to encourage active transportation, create more pedestrian connections, and improve mobility across the city.

It is expected crews will operate Monday to Saturday, if the weather allows, and construction is anticipated to be finished by the end of September.
