Aug 11, 2022 | 4:52 PM

The City of Grande Prairie is continuing infrastructure projects.

108 Street

108 Street north of 132 Avenue will be closed to allow crews to begin making upgrades to the existing gravel road starting Thursday, August 11.

Upgrades include paving the roadway, adding a pedestrian pathway on the east side of 108 Street, and completing the installation of a traffic signal.

Traffic will be required to take detours to alternate routes, such as 100 Street or 116 Street.

Construction is expected to last until September.

2022 Catch Basin and Manhole Repair and Replacements

The neighborhoods of Avondale and College Park are in the City’s 2022 Catch Basin and Manhole Repair and Replacement program.

Various locations are being worked on in those areas to replace storm structures and the adjacent curbs and gutters, pavement, and landscaping.

Partial lane closures should be expected for residents as crew and equipment work.

The construction is expected to be complete by the end of this month.
