Mobile mammography unit coming to Fairview and Worsley

At the end of this month, the Alberta Health Services Screen Test program will be in Worsley and Fairview.

On August 25, the mobile mammography unit will be stationed at the Worsley Community Health Centre.

On August 29 – 31 & September 1, 2, 6, and 7, the trailer will be at the Fairview Health Complex.

The breast cancer screening service comes annually to communities in rural, northern Alberta for women that can’t access the service near home.

Mammograms have been proven to be the most effective way to detect breast cancer, with early detection allowing for more treatment options and a higher rate of survival.
