The City of Grande Prairie has announced a road reconstruction project in the Northridge Business Area.

Work will take place on 121 Avenue from 100 Street and 102 Street.

Construction will consist of replacing the existing roadway, some concrete work, and minor sewer infrastructure repairs.

121 Avenue from 100 Street to 102 Street will have alternating one-lane traffic during work hours but will become two-way traffic after hours.

While construction is underway, the speed limit will be reduced to 30km/h.

Drivers should also be advised that the intersection of 124 Avenue and 100 Street is now closed due to the construction zone on 100 Street across from the Prairie Mall.

Transit routes two and five will see minor delays during construction.

Construction is expected to last till mid-September.

Drivers are asked to watch for flag people and anticipate delays.
