88 Street construction begins following delay

After a week of delays, the City of Grande Prairie will be closing 88 Street from 132 Avenue to Lakeland Drive on Tuesday, August 15 till Wednesday, August 24.

The street has been closed to allow crews to replace the storm pipe and catch basin.

Crews will also tie the system into the new Kingsgate Landing Development during this time period.

Traffic is being detoured to 92 Street and drivers are asked to watch for workers and posted signs in construction zones.

Construction was expected to begin on August 8, but had to be postponed due to the contractor having material delays.
