A&W marks the 14th Annual Burgers to Beat MS Day

August 18, marks the 14th annual Burgers to Beat MS day hosted by A&W.

For over a decade now a portion of the funds from the burgers A&W sells will be given to charity.

Carla Holten, Program Delivery for the MS Society of Canada said “On Burgers to Beat MS Day you can go to any A&W and purchase a teen burger, two dollars from any teen burger goes to the MS society.”

Holten added for lots of people in Canada this disease hits close to home and she expects people to be out supporting the MS Society.

“I think MS is a disease that touches a lot of people’s hearts, it is a disease that is pretty prevalent here in Canada and so i think most people have someone in their life who’s been affected by MS”

This year’s Burgers to Beat MS day will also feature the ‘fan-favorite’ car show.

“If anyone wants to join us for the big car show and I know if you have been around Grande Prairie for any length of time you have probably know about that event. It will be held at the west side location by Costco, so come on out you will probably see 200 cars, vintage cars, new cars, all kinds of beautiful cars.”

The car show will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 18.
