More Peace region stops added for Mobile Mammography Unit

Two more Peace region locations have been added for the province’s Mobile Mammography unit.

A mammogram is an X-ray of the breast and has proven to be an effective way to detect breast cancer.

The Mobile Mammography trailer will be in Fox Creek on September 23rd, 24th and 26th, and then move into Sturgeon Lake on September 27.

It is in Savanna on Wednesday and Worsley on Thursday, before moving on to Fairview all of next week as well as September 6th and 7th.

Women aged 50-74 — the group most at risk of developing breast cancer — are encouraged to book an appointment by calling 1-800-667-0604.
