Brittany Kelsey hired as new Fund Development Manager for Community Foundation of Northwestern Alberta

The Community Foundation of Northwestern Alberta has a new Fund Development Manager.

CEO Laura Lavalley says Brittany Kelsey joined their organization earlier this month.

“We are very pleased to have her join our team. Brittany is going to be looking after a lot of the fund development pieces for our work. And we know that she is very connected to the community and passionate about what she does here. We are just really thrilled to have her join our team.”

Kelsey has worked with several community groups in the past, and Lavalley adds that experience, and the connections she has built in those past roles, will be paramount in helping their team grow.

“We are certainly looking forward to all of the new skills and attributes that Brittany brings to the team. I think any time that a team has a little bit of a shakeup, it is a really positive thing in that we get an opportunity to shift and to learn from each other. So our team is very excited to welcome her and we are looking forward to all the good things that we are going to do together in the months and years to come.”

Lavalley says Kelsey replaces Devon Potter, who left the organization back in June.

“Brittany is working very hard to learn the Community Foundation model and we are pleased to be able to set her up to be successful and I have no doubt that she will do just fine at filling that role.”

Kelsey was last with the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie prior to joining the Community Foundation.
