City announces 100 Street traffic pattern switch over and 121 Avenue road closure

The City of Grande Prairie has announced a traffic pattern switch over coming into effect tonight (Friday, September 16), and a road closure coming into effect Monday, September 26.

Starting tonight (Friday, September 16), northbound traffic along 100 street will be moved to the southbound lanes at 116 Avenue, before returning back to the northbound lane at 128 Avenue.

Southbound traffic on 100 Street will be moved back to the southbound lanes.

On Monday, September 26, A road closure will come into effect, with the east side of 121 Avenue and 100 Street will be closed for a week to replace the roadway and the storm facilities under the road.

Transit routes will be delayed due to the construction, with routes 4 and 8 rerouting starting Monday, September 19.
