Mounties investigate reported assault in La Crete

Fort Vermillion Mounties are investigating an alleged assault that took place early Sunday morning in La Crete.

They say at around 4 am, a woman was woken up by a noise outside of her home.

When she went outside to check it out, an unknown man approached her and pushed her to the ground.

He then touched her inappropriately before fleeing the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as being 5 foot 7 with a medium build and wearing glasses.

Anyone in La Crrete at the time that may have witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious early that morning are asked to contact the Fort Vermillion detachment at 780-927-3258 or Crime Stoppers.
