Charges laid after drugs and cash seized during search of Grande Prairie home

As part of a drug trafficking investigation, the Grande Prairie RCMP recently seized varying amounts of illegal drugs and arrested one man at a city home.

The September 29, 2022, search warrant turned up 900 grams of cocaine, 650 grams of methamphetamine, 300 grams of fentanyl, and $4,495 in cash.

Twenty-five-year-old Trysten Wyatt La Porte of Edmonton faces a total of seven charges, including three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

He also faces two counts of breach of a release order and one count of resisting arrest.
