Two arrested after stolen vehicle and other items seized in west end parking lot

Two people have been arrested after Grande Prairie RCMP recovered a stolen vehicle and found numerous items during a search of that vehicle.

The vehicle, which had been reported as stolen to both Beaverlodge and Grande Prairie Rural RCMP, was located in a west-end parking lot at around 3 am on October 3rd.

A search of the vehicle turned up a small amount of crystal meth and other drug paraphernalia, multiple tools, brass knuckles, pepper spray, firearms and ammunition, and a safe containing documents.

25-year-old Julia King of Grande Prairie and 44-year-old Delmer Horseman of Hythe each face nine charges, including:

· Two counts of possession of a weapon obtained by crime X2
· Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
· Two counts of careless use of a firearm
· Possession of Methamphetamine
· Possession of property obtained by crime less than $5000
· Two counts of unauthorized possession of firearm/prohibited weapon when knowing possession was unauthorized

Horseman also received one additional charge each of possession of a firearm in a vehicle and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

He is due in court on November 7th while King has a November 2nd court date, both in Grande Prairie.
