Alberta Major Crimes Unit arrest High Prairie resident in relation to infant death

The Alberta Major Crimes Unit has laid charges in relation to the infant homicide in High Prairie on October 6.

On October 15, 29-year-old Kyra Renee Backs was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and was remanded into police custody till she is scheduled to be in High Prairie Provincial Court on October 24.

However, Backs ran a day home at the time of the offense, and RCMP would like to speak to families who have concerns and used to or still send their children to the daycare.
