High Prairie woman wins $100,000

Linda Gordon is now $100,000 richer after winning in the October 4 LOTTO MAX draw.

Gordon, a resident of High Prairie is thankful she added the EXTRA to her ticket purchased at the Dynamic Petro Canada in Whitecourt as she won by matching the last six digits of the winning EXTRA number – 5885266.

She discovered her win a day after the draw, and wasn’t wearing her glasses when she found out she had won.

“The first time I thought it was a million; I put my glasses on and scanned it a second time. Then I had to check it a third time to write down the amount,” She laughed while claiming her prize.
