Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital ED closed for 25 hours

The Beaverlodge Municipal Hospital Emergency Department will be without an on-site physician for 25 hours.

From 7 a.m. Monday, November 7, till 8 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, nursing staff will remain on-site in the ED to provide urgent triage, and assessments and provide referrals to other emergency departments in neighboring communities.

Patients are still asked to call 9-1-1 if they do have a medical emergency, EMS will be available to re-route people to the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital.

Pending on needs, AHS wants to remind residents seeking care in Beaverlodge that certain services are available through pharmacies.

AHS is thankful for residents patience and understanding during these times and would like to remind them to call HealthLink at 811 for any non-medical-related questions.
