Fire destroys car and home in Clairmont

An early Monday morning fire that started in a car parked on 102 Avenue in Clairmont quickly spread to the adjacent home on the same property.

County Regional Fire Services stations in Clairmont and the Dunes responded to the original call that came in at around 2:40 a.m. on November 7,and received assistance from both Sexsmith and Wembley Fire Departments once it was discovered that the fire had spread to the home.

Even though the fire was quickly put out, the house did suffer significant damage.

Fortunately, nobody was injured, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
