Playoff match-ups set for Peace Country football teams

The schedule has been released for the opening weekend of provincial high school football playdowns.

Grande Prairie Composite will host Bev Facey of Sherwood Pak in the north semi-final of the Tier 1 Regional Division. Kick-off is at 4 pm Saturday at CKC Field.

St Joe’s begins their run at defending their Tier 2 provincial title by hosting Bellerose from St Albert in a north semi-final Saturday at 1:30 at CKC Field.

Whitecourt will host Sturgeon Saturday at 1 pm in a Tier 3 north division semi-final.

Sexsmith will visit St Paul and Valleyview is in Ardrossan in the Tier 4 north semi-finals on Saturday at 1 pm. The Sabres are also defending provincial champions at the Tier 4 level.
