Team Skrlik wins curling event in Okotoks

Team Skrlik downed Team Scheidegger 6-5 in an extra end to win the Ladies Alberta Open Sunday in Okotoks.

Skip Kayla Skrlik and lead Ashton Skrlik both grew up in Nampa.

The team won six of its seven games at the event, including a 3-0 run in the playoffs.

Kristie Moore’s Sexsmith-based team also took part and was winless in four games.
