Applications being accepted for outdoor neighborhood rinks in Grande Prairie

The city is once again offering a program that has become a staple in many neighbourhoods over the winter.

Applications are being accepted until December 15th from individuals interested in building and maintaining outdoor skating rinks in their neighbourhood.

Successful applicants – which must include a minimum of five volunteers committed to maintaining the rink – will be provided all the supplies needed to build and maintain the rink in a park near their home.

Training will be provided by the city on how to install and maintain these rinks.
