Grovedale house fire leads to a fatality

UPDATE: The deceased male was a 98-year-old man.

His death has not been deemed suspicious at this time.

Early this morning, (Tuesday, November 15) at 2:20 a.m., Greenview fire rescue services responded to a house fire in Grovedale.

They received a report that an occupant was still inside the home, and with the assistance of the County of Grande Prairie Firefighters, they made entry and removed the victim.

They managed to extinguish the home but unfortunately efforts to revive the victim failed, despite the work of the attending fire crews and EMS personnel.
