RCMP looking for info on pride-related mischief acts
Grande Prairie RCMP are looking for the public’s help in solving several cases of mischief being carried out to pride flags and symbols.
Since September, Mounties report that several pride flags have been stolen from the VLA/Montrose neighbourhood.
They add one pride flag was found burnt in the downtown area, and that a pride mural on the side of a building on 102nd avenue and 101st street had been spray painted over on multiple occasions with hateful signs and words.
RCMP add although it is difficult to determine the motivations of those responsible until they are identified, this mischief demonstrates a hateful and not tolerated attitude towards the 2slgbtq+ community.
