McKenzie earns weekly honour from AJHL

Grande Prairie Storm netminder Connor McKenzie is the Alberta Ford Dealers AJHL Defensive player of the week.

McKenzie stopped 88 of 91 shots in a pair of Storm wins last weekend, including 51 saves in a 2-1 win over Spruce Grove last Saturday.

He also kicked aside 37 shots in a 3-2 win over Camrose on Friday.

McKenzie is second in the league with a .931 save percentage this season.

The Storm will host Lloydminster for a pair this Friday and Saturday at Bonnett’s Energy Centre.
