Spirit River man wins $1 million lottery prize

A Spirit River man is one million dollars richer after purchasing a winning ticket in the October 7th LottoMAX draw.

Remee Richard’s ticket matched the winning numbers for one of the Maxmillions prizes in that draw.

Richard, who bought his ticket at Go Market in Rycroft, says he scanned his ticket every day for a week just to be sure he was not dreaming.

“The first person I told was my dad. He didn’t believe me at first, but when I showed him the ticket, he was excited for me.”
