County staff meeting forces several facilities to close for the afternoon

The County of Grande Prairie is holding an all-staff meeting Wednesday afternoon, and will therefore be closing all of its facilities beginning at 1:30 pm.

Facilities that will be affected by the closure include the County’s Administration, Public Works, and Community Services Buildings, the Family and Community Support Services Office, the Wellington Resource Centre, Clairmont Centre for Recycling and Waste Management, Elmworth Transfer Station, and the Grande Prairie Regional Animal Care Facility.

The West Grande Prairie Regional Landfill will remain open, and all essential services will also be maintained during the closure.

All of those facilities will re-open for regular operations on Thursday at 8:30 am.
