Canada-wide warrant issued for Calgary man who has ties to Grande Prairie

The ALERT Human Trafficking and Counter Exploration Unit has issued a Canada-wide warrant for a Calgary man that is suspected of human trafficking.

30-year-old Tevin Laramee-Watson is facing 10 criminal charges, some of which include human trafficking. He has been charged with exploiting women for financial benefit from sexual services and for assaulting and threatening one of his victims.

A list of charges against Laramee-Watson are:

  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Uttering threats
  • Human trafficking x2
  • Financial benefit from human trafficking x2
  • Communication for the purpose of obtaining, for consideration, the sexual services of a person x2
  • Advertising an offer to provide sexual services for consideration x2

Laramee-Watson recently lived in Calgary and has ties to Montreal, Winnipeg, Vancouver, and Grande Prairie.

An investigation by ALERT started in February 2021 and has since identified multiple survivors.

The Calgary Police Service, Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC), Lethbridge Police Service, Kelowna RCMP, Vancouver Police, K-Division RCMP, and Tsuut’ina Police have worked collaboratively to provide assistance in the investigation.
