County of Grande Prairie finds new fire chief

A familiar face is back as the new fire chief for the County of Grande Prairie’s regional fire service.

Trevor Grant worked for the County regional fire service from 2011 to 2018, briefly serving as fire chief during that time.

He then moved on to the City of Grande Prairie where he was deputy chief of their fire department.

Grant, who will officially assume his new duties on December 12th, replaces Dan Verdun, who left the County to accept a job on Vancouver Island.
