Spirit River RCMP says an investigation into copper wire, construction equipment, and vehicle thefts that started in September has resulted in charges against two people.
Police say that on December 2, a search of a rural property near Spirit River turned up scrap copper with an estimated value of $100,000, a stolen side-by-side, a stolen pick-up, and a stolen gooseneck trailer.
Thirty-six-year-old Tyler Ray Davyduke and 30-year-old Katelynn Mary Burlock Gallagher are facing two charges each of possession of stolen property over $5000 and tampering with a vehicle identification number.
Davyduke also has two failure to comply charges.
